Businesses to Be Offered Tax Incentives for Training Specialists
Entrepreneurs will be able to receive tax deductions for workforce training and grants for employing graduates abroad
During a meeting on labor migration issues, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev proposed more actively involving businesses in the training of qualified specialists. Large entrepreneurs are planned to be entrusted with the management of two to three technical colleges in each region for a period of 15 years. They aim to train no fewer than 30,000 people annually there.
Entrepreneurs will be allowed to account for expenses on training and equipment procurement when paying taxes. Grants will also be provided for graduates who find employment abroad.
Separate support measures will affect private employment agencies. Starting next year, they are planned to be entrusted with the employment of citizens abroad. For each person placed in a high-paying job, agencies will receive 1.5 million Uzbekistani soms. Their activities will be evaluated based on employment results, compliance with workers' rights, and employment conditions.
The preparation of a draft document for the implementation of the new measures has been instructed to be completed within a month.
