Businesses will now prepay only 15% for electricity and gas monthly
Previously, entrepreneurs paid 100% in advance; the new rules took effect on November 1
From November 1, entrepreneurs connected to automated control and metering systems and equipped with meters featuring remote disconnection and activation must prepay 15% of their monthly electricity and natural gas costs. The rule does not apply to consumers who violated payment discipline within the last two months.
The remaining amount will be allowed to be paid in several installments during the month. These entrepreneurs will also no longer be required to submit written consumption reports for electricity and gas to supplying organizations.
Contracts for the supply of both resources will be concluded online. The paper-based method of formalizing such agreements will be abolished.
