Assets of Uzbekistan's Banks Increase to 1.04 Quadrillion Soms

As of the beginning of October, the assets of Uzbekistan's banks reached 1.04 quadrillion soms, having increased by 20.5% over the year, according to Central Bank statistics.

The loan portfolio as of October 1 amounted to 659.1 trillion soms. The volume of loans in foreign currency increased, though their share in the portfolio declined.

Deposits grew by 34.9% over the year. The total capital of banks as of October 1 reached 152.9 trillion soms.
