X-Day: Netflix, SpaceX, Meta, and Tesla to Present Financial Reports
Investors await confirmation of future growth amid massive AI spending
Netflix and SpaceX are set to present their results after the market closes on October 20, while Meta and Tesla will do so on October 21. Investors expect specific signs from each company that its growth plans are beginning to yield results.
At Netflix, the dismissal of content chief Bela Bajaria has intensified focus on its own original projects. Following the setback with Warner Bros. Discovery, investors expect a convincing lineup of notable shows from the streaming service, more stable audience engagement, as well as growth in advertising and live broadcasts.
SpaceX is developing Starlink, launches, Starship, its satellite division, and its artificial intelligence business. Investors, therefore, need data on Starlink’s growth, launch rates, progress in creating cheaper reusable Starship launches, and clarity on future expenditures.
Meta’s shares rose after the launch of its new agent-based artificial intelligence platform, Muse, but concerns about AI have affected them in recent days. The company is expected to show signs of Muse’s growing audience, advertiser interest, or movement toward monetization without another alarming spike in capital expenditures.
Tesla has already surpassed delivery expectations for the quarter, yet its future valuation remains tied to robotaxis, Optimus, and artificial intelligence. Investors will be looking for sustained margins in the automotive business, cash flow, continued growth in energy storage, and specific signs of progress in these projects.
