SpaceX Records Investment Gain from Stake in Boring Co.

SpaceX recorded an investment gain of $561 million from its stake in The Boring Company in the third quarter, according to the company's quarterly report filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
This amount accounted for more than half of SpaceX's other income for the period, while the company's net profit reached just over $4 billion.
In the same quarter, SpaceX purchased Tesla's Megapack energy storage systems for $151 million. Elon Musk called a potential merger of the two companies a 'good idea'; SpaceX and Tesla formed special committees to discuss the potential deal.
