Starting Monday, NYSE is launching extended options trading for 29 major stocks and funds. The list includes Nvidia, Bank of America, SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust, and iShares Russell 2000 ETF.
From December 6, 2026, the exchange plans to extend trading for these instruments to 23 hours a day, five days a week.
The expansion is driven by growing demand for derivatives and instruments available nearly 24/7. According to CBOE data, trading volumes outside regular sessions have reached an all-time high. Kevin Tyrrell, NYSE’s Director of Products, linked the launch to market demand for investment opportunities and risk management over longer periods.
